Tristan Gee

student developer from the bay area

Hi. I'm Tristan. I'm a 17 year old from San Francisco, Bay Area. I like building creative and innovative solutions. I enjoy attending hackathons and building side projects. I'm interested in fullstack and AI/ML.

I am currently a research engineer at dmodel (YC S24), building their v0 product. On the side, I'm building a modern version of Todoist, powered by AI, and plan to launch soon.

In my free time, I tutor students, study math, and research autonomous racing systems. I am an avid moviegoer, pianist, photographer. I'm drawn to creative outlets that help me slow down and think, whether it's through film, photos, reading, or writing.

Previously, I started Cognitio Learning, an educational nonprofit where I designed and taught a curriculum on python, led a course at CENG on modern javascript frameworks, and mentored students at a local math program.

Beyond tech, I enjoy reading philosophy, thinking, and writing. I believe it is critical to slow down and think in an era where everything is fast-paced. I enjoy writing not with any specific goal but as a way to think more clearly about the world and my place in it.

In the past year, I've found myself spending a decent bit of time reading philosophy and even wrote a blog post on it (even if i don't fully understand it).

I enjoy playing piano, typically impressionist or romantic. I enjoy listening to all sorts of music: jazz, 2000's pop, rap, r&b, indie, classical, modern soul, disney songs and probably more.

Read my blogs, check out my projects, or reach me at me@tristangee.com, LinkedIn, X/Twitter.
